Add and share files with a proposal
Attach supporting files β plans, spec sheets, photos, or documents β to a proposal, and your client can open or download them right from the proposal link. You manage attachments while the proposal is editable, and they carry over when you duplicate the proposal or send a revised version.
What you can attach
Each proposal holds up to 10 attachments, and each file can be up to 10MB. Accepted types are PDF, images (PNG, JPEG, WebP), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and text or CSV files. Empty files can't be attached.
PDF, image, and text files open as an inline preview. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CSV files are download-only.
Add attachments in the proposal editor
Open a proposal in the editor and find the Attachments card below the proposal items.
Choose files or drag them into the card. The list shows each file's name and size so you can confirm what you've added.
Reorder and remove attachments
You can reorder and remove attachments while the proposal is editable β that's a draft, or a proposal with a change request waiting on you. Use the sender preview to confirm exactly how the attachments will appear to your client before you send.
Once you send, attachments become read-only: you and your client can still open and download the files, but add, remove, and reorder controls are hidden. If the client requests changes, the proposal unlocks and the attachments are editable again.
Add attachments on mobile
In the mobile proposal wizard, attachments are added in the Review step, the same point where you check the proposal before sending.
What your client sees
Attachments appear in a read-only Attachments section on the proposal link your client receives. Each file opens inline or downloads, and every file has its own download button. Image files show a thumbnail when a preview is available; other files show a file-type icon instead.
Duplicates and revised versions
Attachments carry over when you duplicate a proposal or create a new version after a client requests changes, so you don't need to upload the files again.
