Proposal lifecycle and statuses
The Proposals area groups your work into four lifecycle views — Active, Work in progress, Completed, and Lost — and a Closed status removes a proposal from active views while keeping it findable.
The four lifecycle views
Open Proposals and pick a view to see the proposals in that part of the workflow. The four views are Active, Work in progress, Completed, and Lost.
An accepted proposal opens directly into its completed-state project view, where you can follow the work, documents, and signing status for that job.
Actions change with each stage
The Actions menu on a proposal shows only the options that apply to that proposal's current stage. As a deal moves from an active opportunity through completion, the available actions change to match — for example, resending a contract, closing a deal, duplicating it, syncing with QuickBooks, or archiving it. See Create and send a proposal for the actions available while sending.
Closed proposals
Mark a proposal Closed when the customer rejected it or it's no longer moving forward. This keeps it out of your active work without deleting it.
Open the proposal's Actions menu and choose Mark as Closed.
Confirm the status change.
Closing a proposal removes it from the default Proposals list and the Dashboard attention area. It stays findable through the status filter, and it's locked: a Closed proposal can't be edited or have changes requested.
