How do I save a proposal as a draft?
You don't need to click a Save button — Apropos saves your proposal as a draft automatically! Creating a new proposal immediately creates a draft, and your text edits are saved on their own.
Your organization may call proposals Quotes, Estimates, or Bids instead. The draft and auto-save behavior is the same.
How do I create a draft proposal?
Open Proposals and click Create Proposal. Apropos creates a new proposal with the status Draft and opens it in the editor, where you can add a customer, line items, sections, and wording.
Do I need to click Save?
No. The editor's main text fields — the proposal name, address, intro paragraph, payment terms, terms and conditions, and next steps — save automatically. After you stop typing for about 1.5 seconds, the editor shows Saving… and then Saved. Other changes, such as assigning a customer, adding or editing items and sections, and changing proposal settings, are saved as you make them.
What do I need before I can send a draft?
Sending requires at least one line item and a client email address. Sending changes the status from Draft to Sent and emails the client a link to review the proposal.
Can I edit a proposal after it's sent?
Once a proposal is sent, it's locked for editing. If the client requests changes, the proposal unlocks and Apropos creates a revised draft you can edit and resend.
Can I delete or duplicate a draft?
Yes. Drafts can be deleted, and duplicating a proposal creates a new copy with the status Draft.
