Set up your business profile
Set the company information that appears on your documents — your address, phone, license number, website, and email — from the Business Profile page, and choose which of those details show on each document you send. Only an organization admin can edit the profile, and each field saves automatically as you type.
Open Business Profile
Business Profile is a separate page you reach from the organization switcher in the admin sidebar, not from Settings. Only users with the admin or org:admin role see it.
In the sidebar, open the organization switcher. It's the dropdown with your organization name and logo.
Select Organization Settings. The Organization popup appears.
In the popup sidebar, select Business Profile.
Only admins can open Business Profile. If you don't see it in the organization switcher, ask an admin on your account to make the change.
Enter your company information
The profile has five optional text fields: Address, Phone, License Number, Website, and Email. There is no Save button — each field saves automatically about a second after you stop typing, and the card header shows Saving... while a save is pending.
In the Business Profile page, enter a value in any of the five fields.
Stop typing and wait for the field to save.
All five fields are optional and load as empty if you haven't set them. Email is validated as an email address as you type; the other fields have no format checks.
Choose what shows on your documents
Each contact detail has a Show on proposals checkbox (the label uses your document term, so it may read quotes, estimates, or bids). A detail appears on a document only when its checkbox is on and the field has a value — all are off by default, so nothing shows until you enable it.
On the Business Profile page, check Show on proposals next to each detail you want clients to see.
Uncheck a box to hide that detail.
Each checkbox saves immediately when you change it. These toggles are global — they have no per-proposal override, and they also control whether the details appear on your proposal PDFs. Your license number renders with the prefix License #.
How business name and logo are set
Your business name and logo are not edited on the Business Profile tab. They're initially set during onboarding in the Business & logo step, which requires a business name and lets you upload a logo. See Get started with Apropos for the setup flow.
You can also edit your business name and logo in the Organization popup under General -> Update Profile.
How changes affect documents
When you send a document, Apropos copies your current business profile onto it. Changing your profile later does not retroactively update documents you've already sent — each sent document keeps the company information it had when it went out. New documents pick up your current profile. See Proposal settings for how the visibility toggles relate to proposal rendering, and Customize your contract template with merge fields for how your business name appears in contracts.
