Mark a proposal as closed
Mark a proposal as Closed when a customer declines it or the opportunity is no longer active, so it leaves your active pipeline without being confused with work you are still pursuing.
When to use Mark as Closed
Use Mark as Closed for proposals a customer has turned down or that have gone stale β for example, a bid you no longer expect to win. It is available on a proposal that is not a draft or signed. Closing a proposal does not accept it or start work; it only records that the opportunity is over.
Close a proposal
You close a proposal from its Actions menu, and Apropos asks you to confirm before the status changes.
Open the proposal and click Actions.
Click Mark as Closed.
Confirm that you want to close the proposal.
What happens when you close a proposal
A closed proposal leaves the default Proposals list and the Dashboard needs-attention area, so your active views stay focused on proposals that still need attention. It remains findable through the status filter β choose Closed to bring it back.
Closed proposals are locked for editing and change requests. The proposal stays viewable, but you cannot edit it or reopen it for changes.
To start a new proposal for a different opportunity, see Create and send a proposal.
