Set up payment links for your clients
Add payment links so your clients can pay from a signed proposal or contract. Apropos shows the payment options you configure as instructions only — it does not process the payment or track balances.
Add payment links in Settings
Only organization admins can access Settings, where you configure the payment options your business accepts. You can set up PayPal, Credit or Debit Card (powered by Stripe), Link, Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, and Other.
Open Settings from the admin sidebar.
Open the Payment Links tab.
For each provider, enter the value it needs. URL-based providers (PayPal, Credit or Debit Card, Link, Cash App, Venmo, and Other) take a link that opens a payment page. Zelle takes a contact value instead — a valid email address or phone number — because Zelle has no universal payment link.
Click Save. A provider is active when it has a saved value; clearing a field removes that provider.
Zelle must be a valid email address or a phone number with at least 10 digits.
How clients see and use payment links
Once a proposal is signed, the client's view gains a Payment Links tab alongside the proposal and contract tabs. The tab appears only when at least one payment option is configured, and it shows the proposal Total and the Payment Schedule (when a schedule exists) above the payment options.
URL-based options appear as a Pay Now link that opens the payment page in a new tab. Zelle appears as a copyable email address or phone number the client can copy into their payment app.
What Apropos tracks
Payment-link views and clicks appear in the proposal activity feed shortly after a client views or uses a link, so you can see when a client looked at your payment options.
Apropos only provides these payment instructions. Payment completion, balances, refunds, and reconciliation stay with the payment provider you configured.
See Create and send a proposal for the steps to get a proposal signed so the payment options appear.
